American Society on Ageing: House OKs $3.5T budget plan with Medicare expansion

House lawmakers voted along party lines to pass a $3.5 trillion budget framework and advance a $1.2 trillion infrastructure package, committing to a vote on the Senate-passed bill by Sept. 27.

The budget proposal would expand Medicare coverage, lower prescription drug costs for seniors and expand other federal safety net programs.
