Here is one way your donation to AOASCC can make a difference. Transportation remains the primary issue of concern for older adults. Medical Transportation is one of the greatest needs, and, while there are options, barriers such as cost, smartphone apps, and even getting into a stranger’s car, can all prove overwhelming. This past year, we added a transportation program pairing caring and trained chaperones with older adults to assist them to and from medical appointments. Older adults need transportation services that meet their specific needs. YOUR DONATION can help us expand this program and create new transportation options.

Check-ins often become the bridge to services that keep an individual in their own home and community. Getting to a medical appointment. For many older adults, the need is more than just a ride. That’s where a caring and trained chaperone who comes to the home and remains until the individual is back home, makes the difference.
