NCEA: New Fact Sheet, “APS Wouldn’t Take My Report. Why?”

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the release of a new factsheet, “APS wouldn’t take my report. Why?” from the National Adult Protective Services Association (NAPSA) and the National Center on Elder Abuse and Keck School of Medicine of USC.

It is upsetting to report a situation of elder abuse to Adult Protective Services, only to be informed that your report is not eligible for investigation. This fact sheet provides brief insight into what cases APS can accept and why. The expanded version of this fact sheet is also available to delve even deeper into the topic.
