Funding Opportunity for Eligible Organizations and Current TJQMBB Implementation Sites

The Connecticut Healthy Living Collective invites eligible organizations and current TJQMBB implementation sites to participate in a statewide collaboration and coordination of the Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance® Program. This evidence-based therapeutic movement program helps participants improve balance, mobility and daily functioning and prevent falls. Participants meet twice a week for 1-hour for 24 weeks. Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance® (TJQMBB) is a research-based balance training regimen developed by the Oregon Research Institute(ORI.org). It is designed for older adults at risk of falling and people with balance disorders.  The funding opportunity will offset costs for 10 TJQ:MBB workshops. Sites will be awarded a flat rate and TJQ:MBB workshops must begin prior to May 1, 2021.
