Aging Matters – Taking Control Against Fraud: Building Awareness to Use Technology Safely

Monica Buckley is the Compliance and Bank Secrecy Officer at New Haven Bank. She holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Crimes Investigation from the University of New Haven. Monica has been in the banking industry for 44 years and spent most of her career in retail banking. She has a long history of managing various branches before getting into Compliance. Monica has a passion for educating the public about safe banking. She is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager. Monica will be presenting about various scams that are common in the aging community such as:
• Romance or charity scams
• Computer and internet scams
• Investment fraud scams
• Grandparent/imposter scams, and more!
